North House
North House is an incredible resource for people in our community who are experiencing housing instability.
They provide a spectrum of supports for those who are at risk or in crisis within the communities of North Durham.
The North House team had a vision for their new site. They wanted their online home to feel bright, cheery and welcoming. It was important to them to create a digital space that made their clients feel hopeful and excited for the future. To achieve this, we incorporated colour in a clean and calming way, while using plenty of white space to balance it out. Positive imagery was also very important to NorthHouse, so we focused on finding images that felt uplifting and encouraging. To add a bit of playfulness and fun, we used icons throughout the site as well as a more casual font for headings and page titles. We also embedded a donation form for Canada Helps to allow visitors to give back to their community and support the very important work being done by North House.
